Coca-Cola of Korea signed a partnership with the Miral Welfare Foundation, the Ministry of Environment's National Biological Resources Center, and the Korea Children's Center Association to create an eco-friendly indoor environment for children's welfare facilities in Korea and started accepting participating organizations.
The partnership between Coca-Cola Korea and the three organizations was built on the basis of a consensus on the physical and emotional health of children who spend a lot of time indoors due to COVID-19 and fine dust that has been getting worse. There are many research reports that fine dust from the atmosphere easily flows indoors, adversely affects the health of children with lower immunity than adults, and that children are even more susceptible due to restrictions on external activities.
Through this partnership, 17 local children's centers and child protection facilities for vulnerable children will be selected this year to create indoor environments such as wall plants and indoor gardens to improve indoor air quality and help children stay safe. Starting next year, it will be expanded to support facilities to help more children live in a pleasant environment.
