The ESG performance of Pulmuone, a LOHAS company that loves people and nature, has been revealed!
Pulmuone, which Hahm Shout Doodle provides media PR services for, is the only food company to obtain an A+ (excellent) grade for five consecutive years in the ESG rating evaluations of a listed company.
Pulmuone is a company that has been promoting systematic and effective ESG activities by selecting ESG improvement tasks every year under the mission of ‘LOHAS company that loves people and nature together’.
In the E (environment) sector, energy saving policies and eco-friendly packages to minimize environmental impact were evaluated positively. In addition, Pulmuone plans to apply 100% recycled packaging to all their products by 2022, and have already applied eco-friendly packaging to major products such as bottled water, natto, soft tofu, ramen, beverages, salad containers, and yogurt.
In the S (Society) sector, Pulmuone has discussed activities to protect workers’ human rights and create a safer working environment, operate a partner support program for shared growth with partner companies, and develop products and services that protect the environment and enables sustainable living as well as nutritional balance.
In the G (Governance) sector, Pulmuone received high marks in their professional management system, advanced board composition, high ratio of outside directors, open shareholders' meetings, and disclosure of information on the evaluation of the board of directors.
Previously, Pulmuone was ranked 6th among 116 global food companies in the 2019 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
